My letter to John McCain

You should all be ashamed of yourselves. Not only are you lying to people, you are feeding their fears and coaxing low-information voters to make bad decisions based on nonsense.

Sen. McCain, once upon a time I was ready to vote for you– but after repeated displays of poor judgment and witnessing the past many days of vitriolic campaigning I cannot in good conscience vote for you. You should be ashamed of yourself; Palin should be ashamed of herself (WWJD?). Be sure, I will encourage all of my friends and family in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Illinois to vote for Sen. Barack Obama.

I appreciate that you have asked your supporters to stop being so rude at your rallies– I really do (that’s the John McCain I wanted to vote for), but it’s too little too late… the damage is done.

Best wishes to you, Sir, but it’s time for you to retire and it’s time for Sarah to go home.
